The beauty of the world resides in our imagination.

About Me

You really want to know about me? Well don't say that I didn't warn you. I am the type of person that gets along with everyone. My enemies are few and far between. My true friends are limited as well and as the years have passed only a select few still remain close. I recently found out that I can be a bit flaky but not usually. And after this year I don't imagine I will be very flaky at all. I am in my final year at CSUN where I am studying Mechanical Engineering. That is really the only reason that I am flaky though, it's kind of hard to go out, go to school full time and work but I do my best. I like to call it the narcissistic degree as it is a degree in ME. Yeah I'm cheesy like that, I can't help it. I grew up around my father and apparently inherited his sense of humor, and his devilishly good looks. I am very much a family person and I come from a good sized family. There are 7 of us and then the multitudes of extended family. While I do well with family and lots of it, I am not the type of person who really enjoys bars or parties. Having quiet parties with close friends and good conversation is much more enjoyable. I love being outside especially hiking somewhere. The rain is awesome especially the way the shadows mix with the light on green hills. I prefer the cold but I make due living in the sun, except that I burn. That would be the Irish part of heritage. Well that's me in a nutshell. Other than that I'm pretty much an open book.Hey check out my pics. Matt's Photos

My Interests

What kind of shark are you?
Nurse Shark GentleLethargicUnobtrusive You're the Nurse Shark and are as gentle as a shark possibly can be. Usually you're found minding your own business in underwater rock crevices or on the floor of some warm, shallow, sea. It appears to most people that you sleep a lot, but really, you're just more deliberate and active when others arent. Most of the time you're so passive you let anyone, even bothersome people, play with you. Sometimes those people even forget you're a shark, but when pushed too far, you toothily remind them.

I'd like to meet:

Well I'm not looking to meet anyone now. I met someone wonderful.

Music:

I've been listening to the 1940's station on XM, best music ever. Tommy Dorsey, Fats Waller, Andrews Sisters, Bing Crosby, so many good artists. Linkin Park, Bach, Pachelbel, O.A.R., Imogen Heap, Frou Frou, BarlowGirl, Cake, Jack Johnson, Madeline Peyroux, Marc Broussard, 3rd Strike, Seether, The Used, Jet, Franz Ferdinand, Depeche Mode, pretty much anything except most rap and slow country.

Television:

NCIS, House, Family Guy, Futurama, CSI, Modern Marvels, Anything on the History Channel, NGC, Discovery, TLC as long as it deals with history, engineering, or machines.

Books:

I have taken up reading alot of different books lately. I just finished Sherlock Holmes, I am currently reading the Bourne Ultimatum, and I have The Count of Monte Cristo waiting. Typically I tend to read books that are more realist. Though one of my goals in life is to have an extensive library of more historical books. Whether it be the author who holds the historical aspect or the subject itself. I also do not wish to have a book that I myself have not read. Well since I'm back at school I only read engineering books. Sounds fun doesn't it?

An Image of Heaven

I once saw heaven. It was here and everywhere all at once. It stretched in to the distance, further beyond all reach of any existence. Not unattainable, real. More amazing than any dream, more realist...
