Sesshmaru is one of the sons of the powerful demon leader Inu no Taish. Since Inu no Taish is considered to be a ykai lord. Sesshmaru is, technically speaking, a Taiykai himself. However, he is still young and has yet to fully mature and reach the totality of the power he inherited from his father. He is mostly a calm and collected person who hardly shows any emotions and never laughs. He rarely smiles, but when he does, it's usually not a good thing, as once Jaken begged him to beat him rather than to smile because it was Sesshomarus smile that he feared most. He believes that struggle is the only way for survival and mostly throughout the series shows his contempt for Inuyasha, his half brother.frazy.com
