Let me tell you one crazy story about this nick name. This is kinda embarrassing. When I was a little girl (and I mean long long time ago.... really, I am not like that anymore), my head stinks. I was just too lazy to clean my hair every time I took a shower, so I would wash my hair only on the weekend. My mom and my sis always told me that I had really bad smell coming out of my head. They, especially my lovely sister, called me Hua Men which means stinky head. No way! I was not gonna accept such accusation..! So I called my self Hua Hom which means nice smell head. Ironically, Hua Hom also means Onion. Crazy as I were, I called myself Onion Funny cuz I wanted everyone to know that my head smelled nice and it made everyone happy and fun. But, of course, without the proper English skill, I thought funny sounded cuter; hence the name Onion Funny. Then every time my mom and sis talked about my stinky head, I would yell Onion Funny Onion Funny!!! Later on my sis told me her definition of Onion Funny: it is funny to say that my stinky head smell nice. (T-T) WTF! My mom and sis just could not stop laughing about that name, but I still think it is cute.
