Improvised Piano: Blues/Jazz/Classical/Freestyle

About Me

This is completely improvised piano music recorded on my keyboard (or, latterly, piano), dating back two years (the track Reflections In 74 was recorded in 2005, I think; contrast to the others, which are a lot more recent).
I'm getting into recording again, so I'm varying the tracks here semi-regularly - keep checking back if you like what you hear!
The music is raw and improvised. It is not preplanned nor is it rehearsed in any traditional sense. As a result, you'll hear some notes that don't sound right, or rhythms that aren't kept - that's the nature of improvisation. The payoff is that it's, well, raw and improvised, meaning you can be unexpected by a great sounding melody or combination of chords that otherwise you wouldn't have come across, and would have difficulty in capturing and playing them in that way again. I like to think of this type of music of flowing and free, going where it wants. It also greatly depends on my mood at the time of playing, so it can sometimes be a frustrating process.
Usually I play anywhere from five minutes to an hour - Reflections In 74 is an example of a track that, in total, lasts about 25 minutes (here it's the first five minutes or so). If people are interested I'd love to send out complete tracks via CD or I can link where they're uploaded.
I hope you like it, be sure to let me know your thoughts. If you don't like it, there's not much I can do about that :P I get lost trying to describe what I play, although I guess a cross between blues, jazz and classical is in the right direction.
I'm available to play live in London, and if you have an on-sight piano, that's perfect as it's a lot nicer than playing on an electric piano, no matter how good the keyboard is.
If you want to give me a record contract worth lots of money, please do let me know!
