WHAT THE HELL ARE WE?
We are a female-male duet from somewhere in France.
Irene does electronics, keyboard and programming and Pepe plays guitar and screams. We play what we call "industrial punk" by default, since we don't own any other words for it, and meanwhile, we actually got too many words... We are called GRRZZZ, since we just wanted a nasty SOUND-name to be awake as long as possible, not something to get comfortable on big sofas, getting dumb and happy consumers...hopefully we stay reliable to it.
We play most of the time in the european alternative ( that means anti-commercial, often anarchist and so on ) scene for 9 years now, and this experience is very rich food for our minds. This scene means many locations where, most of the time, in any country ( meaning the ones we know of course ), a real relationship may happen between us and the people around...ach Jägermeister!
A special mention to squatters organizing gigs and other events in their place: this is the heart of the scene.
Nous sommes un duo femelle-mâle de quelque part en France.
Nous faisons ce que nous appelons "punk industriel", à défaut d'autre terme adéquat. En fait, on aurait des quantités d'autres appellations possibles, mais justement beaucoup trop, donc...Nous nous sommes appelés GRRZZZ parce que nous cherchions juste un SON ( et pas un mot du dictionnaire ) qui soit dérangeant, grinçant et qui empêche de dormir. Pas quelque chose de confortable genre "sous la couette" et toutes ces sortes d'obscénités molles....nous espérons être restés fidèles à ce crédo.
Nous jouons la plupart du temps dans la "scène alternative" ( c-à-d anti-commerciale, anarcho-punk, squats ) européenne depuis 9 ans maintenant et celà est très précieux, pour ne pas dire unique, pour nous. Dans la majorité des lieux appartenant à cette scène et quelque soit le pays ( dans ceux que nous connaissons bien sûr ), les relations humaines entre nous et les gens du coin peuvent réellement exister...ach Jägermeister!
Spéciale dédicace aux squatteuses-squatteurs qui font des concerts et autres activités dans leur lieu de vie à leurs risques et périls: c'est le coeur de la scène.
We made 2 records on LP and CD. - 2002: "un peu de souplesse dans les barbelés" ( approximately meaning "a bit of suppleness in barbed wires" ). The CD version of this 1st one was issued on Sordide Sentimental, legendary french label. Its catalogue displayed bands as Throbbing Gristle, Joy Division, Tuxedo Moon, Psychic TV, etc... The LP version was totally DIY Grrzzz.
- 2006: "Otima ferox" This 2nd record is issued on Maloka, french anarcho-punk label, in its LP version, with a help of Bloodshed666, from Wien austria. The CD version, formerly DIY Grrzzz, is displayed on november 08 by Dtrash records, Canadian weblabel ( Toronto, Ontario ) that displays since 1998 wild electronics as Schizoid, Faux Pride among others and indus punk as well as Panic DHH, DK Dance, Ambassador 21 and...Grrzzz.
- Another one on 2009? Yes we plan and work on it.

C'est magnifique, on n'en sort pas indemne et ça, ça fait vraiment du bien.
