The purpose of this group is to lead people into the worship of God almighty. The "Kol Shalom" is hebrew for either voice of peace, or total peace, or all peace, depending ... We accept any and all of these definitions to be the foundation of this group, because our foundation is in Christ. For who else is "the voice of peace", "the total peace", and the possessor/giver of "all peace", but Jesus Christ, the prince of peace himself? We believe that all music is designed to worship God, but that much as we humans were created to bring him glory, but through sin were separated from him who created us, so too has music become corrupted by selfish desires leading to sin. The Kol Shalom therefore desires to see men repent and turn back to God, through faith in Christ, and see the transforming power of the Holy Spirit soften the hearts of those who listen, so that they recieve their salvation in Christ. We believe that any and all musical genres can be used to glorify God, but the people who perform the music must be in submission to Christ in order for the spiritual dynamic of the audience to be affected positively. We also desire to show unity in the body of believers, giving people from multiple denominations the opportunity to come together and pay homage to Christ our king as one cohesive group during concerts and festivals. It is our intention to be led by the Holy Spirit during all of our concerts, and it is our prayer that lives are transformed as a result.
