Considered one of the most recognized Colombian DJ's & live performers, new figure and big promise in South America. Having studied architecture and living in the city of Bogota, achieved great success in the field of electronic music after being voted the 2nd best DJ of the competition 'Heineken' and "Thirst" by Smoking 'Jo and Tiesto in his promotional tour among more than 150 DJ's.
From a very early age and taking advantage of different family trips outside the country, Gare is interested in bands such as Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Nitzer Ebb, Front 242, Brian Eno, Nine Inch Nail, Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, Joy Division, The Pet Shop Boys and Erasure to remember someone's, putting his attention in sounds like 'The Model', 'Trance Europe Express', 'Music for the Masses' and 'Pimpf' to name a few.
Being still at school, Gare is invited to collaborate in two different musical projects. One as musical director for a rock band, and the other like the person in charge of electronic rhythms, samples and loops for an experimental band.
His sets are made by strictly musical selection, driving from Minimal House, New Tech and Progressive Sounds to mental and hypnotic frequencies, nowadays, including exclusive own productions and edits such for Underworld, David Guetta and Tocadisco among others.
With the 'Champs Elisee' track, Gare Mat K started his career as producer, been includes in various compilation CD's around the world. Due to the well received that the single had, Gare decided to start the first musical company and independent record label in Colombia by the name of Progrezo Records.
With Fabian Quiroga and the Colombian Opera singer Valeriano Lanchas, meets to produce an entitle track 'As A Stranger', remixed by Carlos Fauvrelle, Da Groovemakers and DC Project. The track received very well support by Randall Jones, David Waxman, Sultan and Dj Tarkan among others, being played at clubs such as Crobar in the city of New York.
His first compilation 2xCD entitle Comunicacion, includes tracks from Williams, Nick Warren & Jimmy Van M, Jiva & Rula, IB, Christian Cambas, Rhythm Code, Pitch & Hold, Alex Stealthy, Jim Rivers, Mike Miller and Tim Davison among others in addition to Gare Mat K's collaborations.
Recently, Gare Mat K has been signed by the Anthony Pappa's new record label Red Light District , where he debuted with the ‘Outback’ remix under the nick name of GMK along with Sasha's remix winner Logiztik Sounds, original track produced by Anthony Pappa:

He has been invited to play at "Encuentro Electronico" supported by the Canadian festival "Mutek", with a highlighted line up of artists such as Gustavo Lamas, Vladislav Delay, Portable, Marciano, Crackhaus, Tim Hecker and Luomo among others.
Gare has been resident of the renowned club in Medellin B-Lounge, where outstanding Djs of electronic music have exclusively played there. Founder of the exclusive parties ‘Are You Invited? at the famed place Mizu in the city of Bogota.
His presentations as a DJ and live performer, has traveled almost all of Colombia, parts of South and North America, and now going to Europe and Asia, having been introduced in Ibiza, Barcelona, Santiago de Chile, Guayaquil, Miami and Virginia among others in clubs such as Crobar in Miami, Cha Cha in Bogota where artists such as Luetzenkirchen, SOS, Nick Warren, Moonbotica and Demi are been booked nowadays, La Tarzana in Cartagena, Teatro San Gines and Dominica 54 in Santiago de Chile, and in Ibiza at the same boat where 'Layo & Buschwacka' were recently presented in the magical island.
Gare Mat K has been invited to play along with the project ‘Posthuman’, at the important South American Festival "Rock Al Parque", in front of more than 50.000 people with awesome reactions.
Actually Gare drives the Progrezo Records’s monthly shows at Frisky Radio, DI.fm and Danceradio.gr, where artists such as John Digweed, Markus Schulz, Blank & Jones, Armin Van Buuren and Carl Cox and, Ferry Corsten among other personalities, have their exclusive own transmissions.
Currently, Gare is working on his next compilation 2xCD entitle 'CONTACT/traumfahrt' next to Beatport's Minimal nominated artist Alex Young, which will include exclusive productions coming from them and from best worldwide talents, in addition to important collaborations from renowned producers.
In the same way, Gare is working in several remixes and in his debut album, produced with own original tracks in addition to remix collaborations coming from important artists around the world.

Comunicacion is the result of a long process of learning and constant work in the scope of electronic music, which by means of the technology has manged to reunite artists from different countries such as Argentina, Hungary, Japan, Poland, Russia, Portugal, Greece, U.K., U.S.A., Spain, Slovenia and of course from Colombia.
Comunicacion is a history of substance and success, a biography shaped in two discs as result of an extensive journey with more than 500 hours of meticulous musical selection between more than 500 tracks received.
Comunicacion has been elaborated with minimal organic sounds and that carefully driving to progressive and deepre melodies.
