MyGen Profile GeneratorHi I'm Meri Dougherty. I used to live in Orange County and Long Beach for about 10 years. It was a great experience living there and got to meet my friends and family. I met Danny Dougherty in 1997 and we thought we would get older together. He passed away in 2004... He was a great surfer and I do hope he is surfing all he wants at a place with warm & clean water wherever he is now. Here I am back in Japan working as A & R. June, 2005, my dog and I moved back to Japan. Been so busy but I really enjoy my job. I have met so many cool and talented people through my work and I am so lucky to have this job. This is the job I always wanted since I was young and it all came to me out of nowhere. I do hope to see all the bands we signed to play in Japan. My goal for my life is to live healthy and happy and make Danny proud of me. I want to do stuff he wanted to do such as taking Spanish class, travel Aisan countries and Europe and organize thousands of photos & footage he shot.

My Interests

Music & Movies! Work - my job is to find good bands and musicians and sign them. Also checking out bunch of skate, surf programs from Fuel TV. Pretty cool job I got, I think.
From Danny's influences, I like shooting photos, videos and editing. I shot bunch of live shows, surf trips etc but have not organized them yet... I started working on Danny's work. I want people to see what he had shot.

Music:

I listen to all types of music. Hip-hop, reggae, punk, R&B, Jazz to classical. With my work, I listen to a lot of mixture of reggae, punk & dub type music. The best show I saw this year was Ben Harper! It was just awesome.

Movies:

No time to watch movies like I used to though. Love movies!! I really like Tim Burton movies. Also Walter Salles is a great director. I like most of Robert DeNiro movies. Ben Stiller is one of my favorite actors!
"Drive" with Mike V. is a really cool skate movie. I got hooked on "Drive" when Fuel TV was broadcasting it. Now I am working on releasing his DVDs "Drive" and soooo HAPPY!

Television:

I don't watch TV much. I only watch movies on TV. I miss watching baseball games with Danny...

Books:

Just finished a book called "Five People You Meet In Heaven" and I am looking for a good one right now. Any recommendations? I have to buy American novels through Amazon Japan and takes about 1 - 2 weeks to receive them...
