Welcome to Northwest Forest Conservancy!
Who are we? Formerly know as Friends of Northwest Forests, Inc., we are a non-profit, public-benefit corporation dedicated to the protection, restoration, education, and responsible management of the forest, all it contains, and all the lands and waters it influences.
Also, we offer three programs that you might find interesting: These three programs are
1. NW Forest Heritage Program
2. NW Forest History Preservation Program
3. The ACTION Program.
The NW Forest Heritage Program is all of our projects dealing with the history and dispensing of that history to our members and the public. It is the history of all that have pioneered life in our forests and the heritage in them. These programs include educational presentations, day hikes, and field trips.
- Forest Legacy Education Project
- Joint History Education Project
The History Preservation Program includes all of our site preservation and historic preservation projects. This includes entering into agreements, acquiring sites or buildings, repairing, rebuilding, replacing, and maintaining sites and structures that have benefit to history and/or the public.
- Austin Hot Springs Preservation Project
- Forest Legacy Preservation Project
The ACTION Program is an acronym that stands for:
Activism & Conservation Thru Information On Nature. This Program includes all clean-up activities, riparian maintenance, and community service projects. These programs organize all Northwest Forest Conservancy activities into an easy to find order. It is our hope that these programs will help us protect, restore, educate, and responsibly manage the forest, all it contains, and all the lands and waters it influences.
