About Me

FuQ (born Michael LeShire Fuqua) is a young, writing talent born and residing in Washington, PA. He has been involved in Hip Hop since the summer of 2001. In five years times, he has written countless songs, complied a series of CDs of his material, and gained respect and encouragement from various people. The most common attributes he is complimented on is his flow, writing ability, and down to earth projection in his songs.
FuQ is currently working on a wide array of material; dividing his time between finishing up his externship for Penn Commercial Business/Technical School, handling everyday life, and talking about it and more in his music. His next objectives are… 1.) to build his status with a brand new mixtape, 2.) continue working with rising producer MC2B on making an album, 3.) capitalize on any opportunities he finds, whether it be working with other artists of the world, entering competitions, or finding/making gigs.
His talents weren’t truly discovered until his sophomore year at Washington High School. A series of his peers requested his material, even though at the time it was lackluster. FuQ utilized all feedback he received, in addition to his own personal discovers and learning experiences. He also managed to perform at two of his high school’s functions in 2004 and 2005. Also during that period, he managed to recognizably get credible charting on soundclick.com. He would accomplish this feat again in 2006 with adding a remix verse to Busta Rhyme’s “Touch It” (Remix feat. DMX) and with an interlude song. In November 2005, FuQ received recognition from underground emcee Casual (of Hieroglyphics) as a Top Ten (9) lyricist for a song competition to be featured on a Hiero sampler CD. Although he did not win, it was a big accomplishment for him to make it out of 40 some entrants and see Casual say “shit was cool”; It was a very nice confidence booster.
FuQ is planning on finding satisfaction in life and working towards his goals of being an accountant, an established artist, and a being a well-rounded person.
