Andre Lovelle is an independent Gospel music singer. He writes and produces all of his music in his hometown, Providence RI. His debut EP, Fire Proof, was released in the summer of 2008. On the EP, Andre presents collaborations with Christian rap artist Bobby Bishop (Lynn, MA), and the powerful singing voice of Michael Shepard (Providence, RI).
Andre is a gifted man of God. He has a loving, honest and down to earth quality as he conveys the good news of the Gospel. He is intensely captivating with songs that relate to people of all cultures and ages. He said, "Through my music, I'd like to express that we all make mistakes, but God will always open his arms to us if we acknowledge our wrong and run back to him. God is so incredible! We as believers need to break out of the walls of our churches and pour out our ministries into our communities. We need to tell everyone just how good God is!"
Andre's testimony of victory over adversity grips the ears of his audiences. Young people, the young in heart, believers and non-believers all find hope when hearing his story. Andre said, "God healed me from a serious head injury that I had from a car accident. He saved me and my family from the flames of our burning house. I have so much to be thankful for. I know first hand that God can make a way out of no way. So when I see tough times ahead, it seems like my glass is always half full."
Andre's voice has been compared to and stretches from R&B artists such as John Legend and Gospel artists like Fred Hammond. He has also been compared to past Soul music greats like Donny Hathaway and Luther Vandross. When singing, there is an instant understanding of what or who Andre is singing about.
Andre's music is fresh. It's clean. It defied boundaries and crosses cultural lines. Andre's sound gives diversity a new meaning. He has a keen ability to arrange a song brilliantly. If he didn't write it, when singing it, he owns it. The anointing on Andre is obvious and the favor of God is definitely present in him. He's truly incredible being a self taught keyboardist and haven't ever taken a vocal lesson in his life.
Andre has a determination and passion for reaching lost souls. With a humble spirit, he allows God to open doors and draw people closer Christ.
