TYSON
Tyson was born on October 28, 2003. He's a chocolate and tan chihuahua who loves life and is always happy. He was purchased from a petstore and was very sick for the first few months of his life. I later learned that puppymills supply petstores with dogs and that nobody should contribute to these horrible places. Ty likes meeting new people and dogs and loves to wear clothes. Tyson is the alpha of the group but takes very good care of everyone. Especially during the puppy stage. He's secrelty maternal and is always close by the youngest. Ty is my talented boy who learns tricks easily. He "sits", "speaks" and does "down" on command.
CHLOE
Chloe was born December 1, 2004 and unfortunately came from the same petstore and of course had horrible kennel cough. Thanks to chihuahua-people.com, I learned about puppymills and what they are. I came across the forum a few months after Chloe came into my life. Tyson loved having a baby sister and the pack grew from there. Chloe can be shy and is the most independent of the group. She's a spoiled princess and won't sleep with her siblings. How dare anyone move and disturb the princess at rest :) She's very vocal and loves food. She doesn't like strangers but warms up to them pretty quickly. She absolutely hates the vet and getting her nails trimmed.
LEILA
Leila (pronounced like Layla) was a long sought after little girl. I wanted a blue chihuahua for years before I found my special little girl. She was born on May 16, 2005 and was the prettiest chi I had ever seen. I knew I had to have her. She was bought through a breeder in north Florida and has been healthy as a horse. She's the smallest of the gang and is very shy and wary of strangers. She loves the car and going for walks and doesn't like sharing her toys.
JACK
Jack was born on January 9, 2006 with microthalmia or "small eye syndrome". His eye socket and eye ball are undersized and he is blind on that side. There are eye tests that can determine if a dog carries the gene and therefore should not be bred. Many breeders don't do the necessary testing and end up with puppies with eye defects. It's sad that people don't take the necessary precautions to avoid this and unfortunately things like this do happen. Geneticists feel that there is a relationship between hydrocephalus, eye abnormalities, nervous seizures and cryptorchidism, and therefore relate these problems to inherited hormonal defects.
In the search for my "perfect" merle, I came across the cutest little chubby chi with a reduced price due to an abnormal eye. It bothered me that he wasn't as "good" as the others and I couldn't bare the thought of him going to an owner who was just looking for a good deal. We wanted to give him a good home and the best opportunity, so even though he wasn't "perfect" he was perfect to me. He makes me happy every day and keeps us laughing. I can't imagine life without him. I sometimes even forget he has anything wrong with him. Although Jack can not see out of his small eye he doesn't let it stop him!
DAISY
Daisy is our newest addition. She was born January 6, 2002 and is a retired champion from a breeder in Pennsylvania. We searched for a long time for our dream long haired chi and a friend found her for me. She is the perfect addition and is such a sweet girl! She loves treats and giving kisses.
