I live in a world where I think everyone should live peacefully and be considerate of one another. I call myself "the peacemaker"....until I cross paths with seemingly every inept driver all in one day. Then I am all talk, but not show. Family is virtually the most important thing to me in life. I have been blessed enough to find that one true someone who is my perfect match. We can balance out one another's imperfections and blemishes, sometimes laughing, sometimes not, yet also thriving off one another's strengths. And the children, Ian 7 and Zoe 4, simply add to greatness. I don't believe anyone ever declared that maintaining a life long marriage and raising children would never come with challenges. However, those challenges determine and build our true character. Will we buckle under the pressure or mold and change? I am also privaleged enough to have enough patience and compassion to be able to work with at risk teens who struggle to find one positive aspect in their lives or their twisted up families. Perhaps I can set aside my own simple "struggles" to help them find some light in dark situations...to help them mold and adjust. If only everyone would jump on that bandwagon....what a ride we could all have together, holding one another up and celebrating in our strengths and similarities as well as our differences.
