I've been playing guitar since I was 15.Ace Frehley,Jimi Hendrix and Randy Rhoads were my heros for the first year and a half or so then I heard Yngwie Malmsteen and he changed my life.I couldn't even comprehend what he was playing so I put away his Rising Force album away for about a year,it was too much until about a year later.I became obsessed with his playing,tone,attitude and taste for vintage gear!I studied his songbooks,instructional vid's for years,he's no doubt my biggest influence.Paul Gilbert was and still is a huge influence to my playing,he has he best rock technique out of anybody.Classical music has always been a huge influence also,composers such as Bach,Paganini,Chopin,Vivaldi have to be the best musicians ever as far as I'm concerned.I've arranged many violin pieces for guitar,there's so much to learn from them.As far as bands I like,classic rock is still the best.Bands like Deep Purple,Sabbath,Kiss,The Stones,The Beatles,Zeppelin,CCR,Cream,The Doors,the list could go one for ever.I also love vintage gear,old Fender Strat's,Marshall 50w heads,pedals,I just can't have enough.Music is my whole life,I teach close to 70 lessons a week and still practice a few hours each day.Weekends I gig with Last Laugh,a rock coverband,great players and great guys..........graduated from Londonderry High School in 1989...
