Darnell J. Harris was born on December 17, 1979 in Wilmington, Delaware to Deacon Robert and Pastor Carmella Harris. Although he accepted the gift of salvation at the age of five (under the late Rev. John M. Cobbs, Sr.), Darnell rededicated his life to the Lord in May 1999, and was licensed & ordained in October 2000 at The Cathedral of Fresh Fire - Wilmington, Delaware & again in 2006 at The Resurrection Center under Bishop S. Todd Townsend.In his years of ministry service Reverend Harris has served in various capacities including; Musicians Guild member Northern District of United Holy Church, Children’s Church teacher & Youth Leader the Firehouse Youth Church, New Generation youth choir member, and Director of Men’s Ministries. In August 2006, Darnell founded The Sons of God Network, a progressive youth movement focused on the deliverance of the young men of this generation. The Network is a network young Reverends & young men of God focuses empowering and discipling young men to take dominion for the Kingdom.Reverend Harris currently serves his pastor, Bishop S. Todd Townsend as Adjutant Apostolic at the Resurrection Center and within The Resurrection Kingdom Fellowship. Pastor Harris also assists in the Heritage Youth Ministry in his local assembly, and is an Adjunct-Instructor of the Sons of Boaz teen Bible study. He is a mentor to many young men within The Resurrection Center, the city of Wilmington, Philadelphia and South Jersey.This young man of God received his primary education in the public schools of Wilmington, Delaware and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology (Phoenix University - Philadelphia, PA.), and a Master’s degree in both Divinity & Pastoral Counseling (Andersonville Theological Seminary). Reverend Harris intends to continue his studies at Temple University, where he can focus on both his secular training and spiritual maturation simultaneously. Darnell J. Harris was unified in love with his childhood friend the former Ms. KiAn J. Green in 2003. Through private example and public leadership they are equipping four sons; Jalin, Julian, Jordan and Jaysen Christopher to be effective Kingdom citizens. Together Rev. & Mrs. Harris founded the Living Word Family Bible Study, one ministry serving Wilmington DE & Southern NJ. The mission of this young man is to “Bring Life to the family through God’s Word”.Pastor-Elect Harris has been commissioned by God, through his covering to build the LIVING WORD EMPOWERMENT CENTER in South Jersey. Coming Spring of 2010, this ministry is designed to provide an escape from the normal "church" pattern.
