The Brothaz Grimm

The BROTHAZ GRIMM are a contemporary hip hop duo comprised of two Dene brothers from Tsuu T'ina Nation Alberta. Their love of music is demonstrated in the lyrical beats and moving sounds that they create together. Emil and Bernard Starlight grew up on the Tsuu T'ina Nation minutes outside of Calgary Alberta.
They've been performing their talents since October 2004, and released their first album debut, "Tales from the Townsite", on February 14, 2005. The BROTHAZ GRIMM have since performed in various venues in and around the city of Calgary, including their self-produced show: "The Playaz Ball", featuring local artists and an appearance by members of Team RezOfficial.
Bernard is the youngest of the duo, and has achieved many great things in his 26 years. He attended the Centre for Indigenous Theatre in Toronto, and has worked within the film industry.
At 28 years of age, Emil is an accomplished performer and artist. His skill and ability extends into music producing as well, and he is the founding member of TOWNSIDA RECORDS. Emil maintains a small but growing recording studio in his home, where you can often find him inventing new beats and writing new lyrics. He is currently co-producing the newest edition of Rhymes from the 49 v.2 with Snagg Records.
