UNDER FORGE band was founded in January 1996 in Bielsko-Biala (Poland) by two guitarists - Rafal "Guras" Gorny and Marcin Mirowski. Since 1997 the mainstay of the band has been drummer Daniel "Vutka" Dutka, and together with R. Gorny they are the only musicians from the first Under Forge`s line up.
Under Forge`s initial style was classic heavy metal inspired by Iron Maiden, Judas Priest or Helloween. But the next releases showed that the band managed to create its own, recognizable style, heading for more powerful heavy metal. On the new Rat Race release, Under Forge`s style can be defined as a mix of technical thrash metal and modern heavy metal inspired by Bruce Dickinson`s solo albums.
