Electrix

About Me

Hailing from Reykjavik Iceland, Electrix became fond of music at a very young age. He was exposed to a diverse range of music by his hippish Icelandic parents who to this very day (although not very hippish now) still boast an impressive collection of LP’s and EP’s. Back in the day E, as he is sometimes affectionately known, would always find himself in front of the stereo experimenting with the Equalizers. He was fascinated with the way he could change and play around with the music so much so he blew up his fathers speakers by turning up the Bass and Volume too high. Having grown up with hip hop most of his life he then welcomed the intoxicating beats of Acid house in the late 90’s exposed to him by a friend who now travels everywhere with him. This set the wheels in motion and The Electirx was born! After a short stint in Reykjavik, playing in the finest clubs among the finest local talent, Electrix decided to pack his bags and head down under to Australia to pursue his love. In no time at all he was able to network and meet fantastic people, crazy, but fun people. He was able to position himself so that he was in the right place at the right time. He later graced the decks at Honky Tonks (R.I.P) – also the ladies crapper, Q Bar, Alia, Bimbos and numerous highly sort after underground dance party gigs. His style is quite unique playing minimal to electro to indie or sometimes just for the hell of it good old party music.
Now firmly in the studio, polishing up on his production skills, Electrix is ready to bring his own creation to the world. He strongly believes you should make music for yourself and not for anyone else!
