Time to update...
Okay, I am a senior BM- Vocal Performance Major currently not finishing my degree, because I moved to New York City after being pretty sick for a year with what we thought was fibroids and then blood clots and well everything was on hold so I went to NY! ha...well...there I had four of the most amazing months of my life...met a lot of awesome people and then got even more sick and this past January, got diagnosed with stage IV-b uterine cancer...at least I finally had some answers...only bad thing was that I was only given a 10-15% chance of surviving for 5 years, because the cancer had spread to my liver and that is...well...bad...so I decide to move back to Houston to be with the family and get care from MD Anderson doctors, the best doctors in the world for cancer treatment...and as soon as I get back, my doc tells me that without chemo I probably only have 6 months left and there are by no means any guarantees that the chemo will work at all...sigh...so I begin treatment...12 weeks later I got my first CT scan and it showed that more than half of the cancer on my liver was gone...9 weeks have passed since the last CT scan now and I am about due for another scan...I still deal with random pain in my liver, so I am pretty sure that the cancer is not gone yet and I had such amazing initial results, I could not possibly expect for the results to continue to be so amazing...I do however choose to handle this with my head held high and a fighter attitude!
