Kezia & The Seven Year Itch played their EP release gig at the new Wellington night spot Mighty Mighty on November 16th. The band and special guests played a ten song set to a capacity crowd and much adulation. The band is now planning more gigs in Wellington and a NZ tour, so watch this space. The self-titled EP is now available in stores through Border Music.******************************************************
*********************Kezia Nell Hinchey has been quietly brewing on the scene since her return to Wellington 2.5 years ago, after 7 years living in London.Having spent high school years studying Music at Wellington High with the guidance of Fritz Wollner. Kezia moved to Sydney then London, to develop her sound. Working and recording with various British musicians, playing with life and styles.On return to NZ she went to Massy Conservatorium of Music for 6 months, gaining the Jazz Foundation Certificate. Since then she has been planning and writing for the release of her first EP in New Zealand.So we come to the present, all of these things have added to the slate of the Swamp Rock Voodoo Country Soul (if you like your labels), that is Kezia & The Seven Year Itch.The release pending, a date will shortly be announced for the EP release-which is set to sizzle!Stay tuned- The Seven Year Itch is Coming.
