About Me

Everyone is a different person and has a different perspective and yet, in many ways, i feel like we're all the same. We all speak the same language, even if the words sound different.. if that makes any sense at all. When you cut past all the bull.. all your random nights from over the years that have faded out of memory, all the people you've met and forgotten, etc.. what are you left with? The important things are the people that touch and affect your life and the experiences that have helped shape who you are and have taught you everything you've learned so far. One of the ways we are all similar is that we all yearn for people and experiences that affect us in meaningful ways. Whether or not you're conscious of that desire is another matter.
I'm a recent graduate from Chico State and about to head out into the big bad world. I don't have my future mapped out and couldn't guess where i might be in even 6 months. I prefer to leave some spontaneity in my life and allow most decisions to work themselves out without much planning. At first it's hard to take that kind of leap of faith but if you give it a shot, you'll see that it all still falls together in the end and almost always in a pleasing manner. The most successful person is not always the hardest working, but often the most patient.I'm a communicator and i feel i have a talent for grasping the perspective of others, even if they differ drastically from my own. It's important to master the subtleties of body language because there are many small cues and signals that people send out subconsciously that can reveal lots about what is going through a person's mind.
I pass through many phases in life and i'm in a "what does it all mean" phase right now. The world is your easel and you hold the paintbrush. Don't be afraid to mess up, every piece of art is revered by some and loathed by some and there is no way to change that, only ways to accept it.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'm always looking to meet wise people who can converse intelligently. If one of your goals in life is to make yourself a better person and to always keep growing, we'd probably get along just fine. Most people say "no" to more opportunities than they even know exist. From this very moment, you have nearly infinite possibilities for what experiences the rest of your life can hold. "no" people trade their life experiences for creature comforts and material possessions. I'm looking for "YES" people.Huge Jump - Upper McCloud Waterfalls

Music:

Incubus is my favorite, Anberlin, Foo Fighters, the Chili Peppers, Third Eye Blind is awesome even if they haven't put out an album recently, Radiohead, The Killers, Nine Inch Nails, A Tribe Called Quest, Mos Def (his 1st album), Kanye West, Pharrell, some Jay-Z, 2pac will never die, Hieroglyphics, Nas.. to name a bunch

Television:

TV is the devil!

Books:

I loved The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield, which was one of the best books I've ever read.
It does an excellent job of conveying difficult to explain spiritual truths in a manner which is easy to understand and grasp. It touches on a wide spectrum of subjects including some of my favorites like energy interactions and the absence of coincidence or "everything happens for a reason."

I also read Blink, by Malcolm Gladwell, which I would best describe as an explanation of the psychology of intuitive and unconscious thought. The author uses many relevant and illustrative examples which demonstrate his points in an interesting and profound manner. It will definitely make you look closer at who you are and the way you think and could possibly make you aware of things to which you were once oblivious. It's definitely a book you'll want to read, even if you think you're not into psychology.

Heroes:

Superman. I wish i only had one weakness
