"“Never let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game,†is the life motto that 23 year old Sara Culler has lived by since the age of 6, when she entered her first talent show and fell in love with music! Her microphone just happened to go out while she was singing, so as a “little adult,†Sara took matters into her own hands and asked the host for a new microphone! She ended up winning the talent show that day, which was the beginning of her yearning for stardom.
Born and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Sara grew up just like any normal little girl, playing with Barbie dolls and getting into mischief, but her favorite hobby was singing with her karaoke microphone for hours at a time! The first song she ever learned was “Do You Love Me†by the R&B group The Contours. This was when her parents knew that she had talent. Voice and dance lessons then began in order to strengthen her skills.
She began recording cover songs by the age of 8, and recorded her first contemporary Christian album at the age of 12 after winning a contest in which that was the prize. She then began exploring other genres of music and fell in love with country! Most recently, Sara was a part of the new televised CMT reality show, “Can You Duet,†from the producers of American Idol. She finished in the top 25 out of 5000 contestants. An accomplishment such as that only makes her desire for a country music career even harder more! “There is honestly nothing else I want to do in this world but share my voice and music with others!â€
