CLARK DATCHLER is former lead singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist in the highly successful band of the late 80s, JOHNNY HATES JAZZ. And now comes the release of his great new album, TOMORROW.

In 1987, Clark achieved worldwide success when his song SHATTERED DREAMS became a Johnny Hates Jazz top 5 hit across Europe and Asia, reaching number 2 in Japan. The following year it achieved number 1 status in the U.S.A. Other record releases followed, including several hits (among them, I DONT WANT TO BE A HERO, TURN BACK THE CLOCK and HEART OF GOLD) and a double platinum album, TURN BACK THE CLOCK. The band achieved rapid success on an international scale, and to this day their recordings continue to be played all over the world.

Clark left JHJ at the height of his fame, seeking to rediscover a deeper sense of purpose in his artistic work.

In the 1990s, he recorded several solo albums, and began to draw on rock, folk, pop and world music for inspiration. In addition to his ability as a vocalist, pianist and guitarist, Clark became an accomplished bouzouki player and percussionist.

Yet over the years, Clark Datchler has come to be regarded as an enigma by those who love his music, and there has been much speculation as to how and when he will return to the music scene. The journey of writing and recording the new album TOMORROW has spanned many seasons and far reaching places, and now a new and extraordinary musical chapter has begun.

TOMORROW will soon be available in both CD and download formats. The 12-track album contains a brand new, highly contemporary version of SHATTERED DREAMS, as well as the environmental anthem, TOMORROW.

In addition to playing many of the instruments on each track, Clark has invited some tremendous musical talents to appear on his new album. Among them are Phil Gould (drummer of Level 42), David Rhodes (guitarist with Peter Gabriel), Hugh Marsh (fiddle player with Loreena Mackennit) and James McNally (Irish whistle player with the Afro-Celts).

TOMORROW has recently been remixed by Stephen W. Tayler, who engineered and mixed Clark's 1992 cult album, FISHING FOR SOULS. The album has been mastered by Tony Cousins, who mastered the TURN BACK THE CLOCK album.

If you are familiar with the past music of Clark Datchler, you will recognize on the album TOMORROW his well-known talent for creating strong, memorable melodies. Yet you will also find that his music has truly evolved. TOMORROW includes innovative arrangements, expansive instrumentation, contemporary grooves, powerful vocals and compelling lyrics. It is a new sound for a new time.
