Thee Requiems

If we've got everything, then why are we so bored?

About Me

Josiah Barnett (Catboxer, The Pale Marys, Fear of Lipstick) had been working on a solo project since 2002 called Gil Spectrum and the Requiems...a one man project playing off of Phil Spector and the Wrecking Crew. Along the way, Ryan White (The Pale Marys, Octopus Trash) helped a lot with recording and mastering, and occasionally appeared on tracks. In 2005 Joe got together with Ryan and Cameron Murphy (The Peter Parkers, Ghostown Belle, The Varsity Weirdos, Colonial Quarrels) to gather the good parts of Joe's solo efforts into a full band value packed explosion. The result was very exciting and after one show, the name was shortened to Thee Requiems. It didn't take long before the band adopted another, Joel Fowler (Catboxer, Scribbler, Loomer, I Hate to Think) to play on trumpet, synthesizers, slide whistle, or whatever else he could play in one of our songs. Leslie Muir also played with Thee Requiems for a short period and will occasionally appear on recordings
