I know I should say something like "you" or "someone cool and nice" yeah, yeah, yeah.... whatever.... I am going to go with a list of people I would really like to meet....Jimmy Buffett, Ben Franklin (no one said they had to be living), God, Queen Elizabeth II, Will Ferell, Carl Hiaasen, and of course, the ever popular.... Santa Claus (I think I might have seen him at the mall once).
Well, I'm a parrothead so I guess that means I like Jimmy Buffett. Also enjoy all of the old stuff my grandmother listens too, like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerrald, Tony Bennett, Dina Washington. And some of the new guys too who sound like the old ones, like Michael Buble and once upon a time Harry Connick Jr. And nautally the Wheels on the Bus... just kidding.
I basically feel that movies should be funny and entertain me. I have no need for depressing dramas or anything that will give me nightmares. That being said, some of my favorites are Elf (I really think I can be an elf, I like sugar, I like to sing out loud and Christmas is great), O Brother Where Art Thou?, Muriel's Wedding, Back to the Future and Napoleon Dynamite. I guess you could also say that I like musicals like The Music Man, Chicago, My Fair Lady and Porgy and Bess (story sucks, but the music is great).
Studio 60, Sopranos, Big Love, Teletubbies, King of Queens.... Wait... Teletubbies? OK, so I don't really like the Teletubbies, but I sure do see enough of them. And of course South Park. Nothing like foul mouthed cartoon kids to make your day. Too bad what I like to watch is exactly the kind of thing I don't want the kid to watch.
I read a lot, so I am going to try to name just a few of my very most favorites.... The Count of Monte Cristo, Cannery Row, The Harry Potter series, Alas Babalon, anything by Carl Hiaasan or Dave Barry. ..
