------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------------We are not a 'band' in a sense, but we have all been (or are still) in bands. The aim of the Wick Sessions is to harness the energy and magic that only really seems to come through during the writing stages of songs. By recording the first takes of songs written a few moments before, or, as they are actually written, a real sense of spontaneity can be obtained, and hopefully relayed back to the listener.The tracks have been mixed to a certain degree to allow a more balanced listening experience, but on the whole they are as raw and rough as possible. When songs get practised over and over, they loose much of that first initial energy punch, the buzz and excitement that band members get as they play through a new song for the very first time, it gets lost along the way.The Wick Sessions are an ongoing exercise in pure musical enjoyment. Vol 1 is just a taster for what can be expected to follow. Keep listening...
