Hip Hop Adventures vol.1©
A journey through the evolution of hip hop, from the progression of early funk, to the breaks that made the original hip hop in the 80's and 90's that led on to the Hip Hop we know today. Original breaks from artists such as James brown, Aretha Frankin, Kool and the gang and showing how hip hop adapted through Kurtis blow, the first ever rap artist to get signed to a label, the mixtape gives the listener a glimpse through the hip hop years up to modern day hip hop. This is all cut up with lots of comedy including some of the classic Disney films, and interviews with artsts such as DJ Premier. The UK scene has some exposure featuring Taskforce, Lowkey, Doc Brown, Klashnekoff, Micall Parkinson.

Originally from south east London, he started out 7 years ago dj'ing with his mums turntable and a mixer he bought off his mate for a tenner. Dj lazy's early influences are the fugees, NWA, James Brown, kurtis Blow, Kool and the gang and KRS-one and material from uk artists such as jehst, cookie crew, braintax started him off on a journey to the centre of the beats.
He has won various competitions, and has done a showcase sets in Londons DEAL REAL with DOC brown and Remedies from Wu-tang. Has met DJ yoda through winning another comp, and dj’ed with other artists such as Dj Format, Timber, DJ renegade, Dek one, Rob Life.
Lazydj has been warming up for bands such as Kosheen, dj format, pendulum. He runs, promotes, does all the design work, signs artists for his night called "hardskool" one of the biggest breakdancing nights in the UK, see www.myspace.com/hardskool ,this night sees breakers such as "mouse" one of the most respected breakers in the uk cumming down, also dj's from the jazzcafe camden called breakinbread including rob life and other UK djs such as deck one, timber also dj renegade from the extended players is a regular.
Lazy is an illustrator and a graphic designer and studies for a BA Hons in industrial design. He will be joining a small design consultancy in London which acts as an integrated communication agency, specialising in marketing, brand management, design and pr. He will be building on his skills and knowledge of new product development, concept generation and graphic design.
