Sam Howard

The first two tracks are from a show at The Knitting Factory. It is Russ Kleiner on Drums and Sam Howard on bass. MTV is the same with the addition of Jim Antonucci. Damn! This Groove is by Oz Noy (www.oznoy.com) Brand New You and MTV are by Sam Howard. The audio was taken from a video made on my camera.....so obviously the quality is not so great. We had a lot of fun playing that night at The Knitting Factory.
Influences: Last 5 cds I purchased
Frank Zappa "The Yellow Shark", Bill Frisell "Frisell, Carter and Motian, Sparklehorse "Dreamt for Light Years in the Belly of a Mountain", Andrew Bird "The Mysterious Production of Eggs", Chicago Underground Dou "In Praise of Shadows"
People, Things and Places that influence me (and just some things that I enjoy in general) All in absolutely no order....
Chicago Underground Trio (Duo and Orchestra), Oz Noy, John Hartford, John Scofield, Keith Jarrett, Guns and Roses, Spike Jonze, Tortoise, Brad Paisley, Jeff Parker, Wayne Krantz, Run DMC, Bill Frisell, Tarpon Fishing, Brad Mehldau, MUSE, Hey Mercedes, Chet Atkins, Jay Z, Frank Zappa, Ari Hoenig, Sparklehorse, Saves The Day, ISOTOPE 217, Chris Cunningham, Alexie Sherman, Michel Gondry, Jean Michel Pilc, Ben Allison, Henri Cartier Bresson, NYC, Zen and the Art of Archery, Newgrass Revival, Blink (The book, not the crappy band), Taking Pictures, Elliot Smith, Sondre Lerche, Texas Holdem', Jeff Buckley, Conway Twitty, Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, John Cage, Chet Atkins, Wes Montgomery, I will have to continue this later.....
