The Drowsies

About Me

After much deliberation, we have decided to stop doing what we were doing.
It was all a ton of fun, but sometime last summer after playing with the Ergs! (which ruled and was so much fun), we started finding it harder and harder to keep it up, and within a few months none of us really had time to be in the Drowsies anymore due to other projects, other bands, a few of us being in school, etc. Spencer, Geoff and I briefly tried to keep it going as a three-piece, but ultimately it just didn't work out. Our bad.
Maybe someday there will be a Drowsies revival; who knows; right now, though, we are all busy doing other stuff.
New Drowsy projects: Nick is still singing for the Obtruders , of course. Spencer and Geoff play in a totally rad pop punk band called The Begin-Agains . Since last summer, Spencer and I have been playing with Durham's The Future Kings of Nowhere , which is a blast. I'm in a couple of Raleigh-based hardcore bands, Devour and Decimates, which both rule. Spencer is making apocalyptic racket with a Carrboro band called Systems . Geoff and I are in the process of starting a power pop band called Antibubbles, which we are excited about.
