Having been introduced to turntablism at an early age by his uncle; a prominent New York hip-hop deejay, Paul Avila was exposed to the fundamentals of scratching, beat matching, blending, etc. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Paul learned all he could before his adored uncle passed away. From then on, he made a sworn vow to become a well- known successful deejay to honor his beloved uncle. He moved to Miami where he began his journey as a hip-hop deejay; known as DJ Seduction. Within a couple years, at the age of 16, DJ Seduction became a frequently seen name on all styles of party flyers. From all- ages to the 18 and over parties. He soon got caught up with promotions, joining teams such as Dream team, Partyerz, and F.U.N. With that he decided to put his deejay career on hold.In 2005, Paul was introduced to his new passion, house music. He then determined that he was going to pursue the promise he made to himself but now as a legendary house DJ. Thanks to his trustworthy friend Maven, Paul was deemed to be known as DJ Paul E. Inspired by various local and overseas DJs, such as Steve Angello, Axwell, and Hectik Rivero; he began playing at local house parties, but it wasn’t until late May of 2006 that he got his club debut at Flavour in Coconut Grove. Since then, Paul E has spun at numerous nightclubs in Miami. He has held weekly residencies at top venues such as Flavour, Apple Martini Bar, the Cove, Oxygen, Nocturnal, the Pawnshop, Area 51, and Allure; with special appearances at Space, Bongos, Yage, and Studio A just to name a few. He currently has a weekly residency on the terrace at Nocturnal on Friday nights, with his partner, Hectik Rivero, where their fan base is progressively on the rise.Paul E has played alongside some of the better known names in the industry including Antoine Clamaran, Rooster, Peralta, Peter Bailey, Richie Santana, Austin Leeds, Terranova, Dj Theo, Boris, Willie Morales, Tocadisco, DJ Colette, Rank 1, as well as Miami’s very own such as Parantula, Diaga, Thunder, Nikolas, Dos, Ariel G, Jesse Perez, Alex Alvarez, Cato K, B Mamba, Ivan D, Gino Fuentes, Ology, and Seasunz.Paul E is currently focusing most of his time and energy on his music production. This will keep him hard-working in both djing and producing for the months to come.
