The Suns are Dave Lloyd, vocals and guitars, Markus Mulholland, bass and vocals and Simon Garland, drums and percussion. Their musical blueprint draws from music like 70's West Coast, 60's Folk/Psych, Powerpop, Bossanova, Guilty Pleasures, Surf Music, 80’s Post Punk and Tropicalia. And some prog.

Hailing from sunny New Brighton, a North West beach town near Liverpool in the UK, The Suns released their debut EP, Fearless, in summer of 2003 followed by their unilaterally and critically lauded first album, Warmth, later that year.

The summer of 2007 saw the release of their second album, Wake Up. Instantly hailed as a fantastic follow-up to Warmth, the album marked a new phase in The Suns wilfully non-conformist style and approach.

June 2009 sees the release of the The Suns much-anticipated third album. The New Normal represents a new direction that the band has long wanted to take - a more electric, powerpop, noisier, rawer, less indulgent pop album. Recorded at home on a 16 track multitrack with a true back-to-basics approach the band wrote, recorded, produced and mixed the record themselves.

Stay tuned for updates….
