Light-Skinned Brother Movement

About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V3.6 !
this is in the works, but come back soon
The Light-Skinned Brother Movement (and the women that love 'em) is not a movement started to disrespect any other race, or skin tone. If anyone has been called Hi-Yellow, OREO, Khaki-Colored, Light-Bright, Red-Bone, Wannabe, etc., you are likely to be a Light-Skinned Brother. (The official tried and true method to determine which category you fall into is to take a brown paper bag, hold it up to your forearm, if you are lighter than the bag, you are indeed a Light-Skinned Brother) Light-Skinned Brothers have a long history of being fly trendsetters, changing the world, and loved by the ladies. Malcolm X played a major role in the civil rights movement, Muhammad Ali changed the world of sports, and then there were performers such as El DeBarge and Al B. Sure singing the ladies silly and maintaining the desire for Light-Skinned Brothers.
However, there was a slight decline in the popularity of Light-Skinned Brothers in the early 90's due to the great success of Wesley Snipes, Tyson Beckford, Morris Chestnut, and a few other Dark-Skinned Brothers, leaving some to believe that Light-Skinned Brothers had fallen off the map. But really, Light-Skinned Brothers just took a step back to let some others get a little taste of the spotlight. There is definite evidence that Light-Skinned Brothers are taking back the spotlight. Barack Obama is gaining a lot of support for a run at the presidency, Allen Iverson is having one of his best seasons in the NBA, Tony Parker is not only having an All-Star NBA season, but he is doing it while also being the object of desire for the sexiest woman on television, Eva Longoria. John Legend sang his way into the hearts of many, and won a Grammy in the process, while Terrence Howard has stolen the silver screen and well on his way to many more appearances at the Academy Awards.
These are just a few Light-Skinned Brothers doing big things, but there are Light-Skinned Brothers all over the country that are making a name for themselves. Becoming a part of the Light-Skinned Brother Movement does not mean that you are selling out your own people. Let's all celebrate our differences together.
