About Me

Background from flickr user
I'm quirky and random most of the time, half the people in my life call me "Sparky", the other half call me Amanda.
I've rounded a bend in my life and am happy with where I am at in this moment in my life.
I have been told I'm high maintenance. This is sometimes true.
I care deeply about my friends. I find it harder and harder to meet new people outside of work.
Richness of life isn't always measured in dollar signs rather in the size someones smile.
I believe you should treat others the same way you would want them to treat you if your roles were reversed.
God bless everyone, no exceptions.
Driving down open Texas highway(s) with the windows rolled down and the sunroof open while the stereo blares my favorite tune where the only destination is the road that I choose...and the most pressing issue at hand is whether I have enough film with me to capture the places I roam is something that makes me happy.
I love proof reading and correcting papers; I also enjoy analyzing various works. I believe finding your voice is vital to finding yourself.
Getting together with friends to talk about everything and anything under the sun. I have found that every person has a unique perspective; I don't always agree with the views everyone holds but I do find them interesting and have a healthy respect for difference(s) among us all.
Listening is often as important, if not more so, than speaking.
I'm a pretty good bowler.
I consistently lose or let my cell phone die.
I have begun to learn to play my guitar. I can play Wild Thing and part of Pretty Woman.
Lakes, creeks streams, and bodies of water in general hold some incredible fascination for me. Along that vein, I'm looking at buying a kayak soon.
I've been known to wander off by myself...there were several times while camping or hiking I got stuck in quicksand-like mud. Tip: if wondering off alone on many acres tell the people in your party what general direction you're going...
I have to know what's around the next corner or bend if I'm hiking.
My true love is landscape photography. Nature is beautiful if you take the time to enjoy it.
I enjoy Spring, Summer and Fall, however, I am not an avid fan of winter.
The connection between (wo)man and elephant fascinates me. Elephants themselves are incredible creatures.
I have found at the age of 21 that I am too old for Sixth Street.
I'm apt to repeat a song until it becomes unstuck in my head.
I adore my niece and psuedo nephew. They're precious. They make me realize what is truely important in life.
I own more scrapbooking stuff than anything else I think but I often lack motivation to get started on new pages.
I have learned not to anticipate because nothing ever goes as planned or intended. Anxiety only kills sooner, go with the flow, there's not much else to do. Mellow is good...
This is my life summed up in icons; they're kinda like Hallmark cards, they can always say it better:
People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within. Elizabeth Kubler Ross
Your Theme Song is Born to Be Wild by Steppenwolf
"I like smoke and lightning
Heavy metal thunder
Racin' with the wind
And the feelin' that I'm under"
A total independent spirit, you can't be held down or fenced in.
You crave the feeling of wind on your face... and totally freedom.
You Are an Old Soul
You are an experienced soul who appreciates tradition.
Mellow and wise, you like to be with others but also to be alone.
Down to earth, you are sensible and impatient.
A creature of habit, it takes you a while to warm up to new people.
You hate injustice, and you're very protective of family and friends
A bit demanding, you expect proper behavior from others.
Extremely independent you don't mind living or being alone.
But when you find love, you tend to want marriage right away.
Souls you are most compatible with: Warrior Soul and Visionary Soul What Kind of Soul Are You?
