About Me

No band, just me. Though Scott Chase has accompanied me through the years, he also has other things he's about. I appreciate our shared experiences through the years. He produced and had a definite influence most of my recordings. He's hell on a washboard, the lacquer bucket, the saw, the wrenches, mouth harp, and whatever else he might find, pick up on his way to the gig. A wide-open mind all kinds of music and "possibilities of music" a perfectly laid back foil to my somewhat similar attitude toward how I hear where a song might go or might could get away with that wonderful flash a song doesn't haven't to be like this, resolve this, end like this all the time, and he's open all that too; plus he's one of them thick and thin friends years come and go it all changes some ways, some ways it has to, our lives evolve into families, varying cicumstances; some friends the bond holds, the link whatever.I admire and respect Scott way beyond the music. And the music would be enough on its own.Have enjoyed the presence Tommy Goldsmith backing me many shows/recordings through the years on guitar, mandolin and vocals; and whenever she is available both live and in the studio, Tomi Lunsford has added an ethereal voice to the unkempt universe the ghostly inhabitants my "old, weird America," and I appreciate the incredible genius they both have brought to my efforts. I dare say my sound and life would be a bit paler without the inspiration both have brought me.
