I'm grateful for the life I've had so far and look forward to so much more! I'm excited for what lies ahead and welcome good people who can handle me :) I worked as a cancer nurse for 2 years and want everyone to know, as cliche as it sounds, that life is short, so have fun! While it's great to make plans and have goals, if something gets in the way, embrace it and work through it, or make new plans. I will always cherish the time I had with my patients and their families who trusted me with their lives and allowed me to care for them. Now I work in the ICU. Hopefully this will help me in my ultimate goal of volunteering with Doctors Wothout Borders. I believe in them because they believe in people. I know we all wish people were better- better drivers, roommates, coworkers, boyfriends/girlfriends, sisters/brothers, etc., so we need to realize that change starts in ourselves and little efforts can lead to bigger and better changes :)
