Sylvester Treadway is an experienced instrumentalist, talented singer, songwriter, evangelist and storyteller.
As a young boy born into a military family who's history was loaded wth singing and musical talent...Sylvester thought it was only natural for everyone to hear music in their head.
The oldest of eight children, he was given great responsibility for their upbringing much of which included singing to them.
His first performance was at age 5 at a Military Officers Gathering.
Jazz, rhythm and blues, country and rock have influenced Sylvester's style. His song lyrics, so rich in content, focus on relationships relating to the trials, pains, fears and struggles we all face. Sylvester brings encouraging words that are fresh and inspired and joyous to the platform.
Since his personal journey began, Sylvester has traveled from the East Coast to the West Coast ministering in places such as the House of Blues in New Orleans and the Frank Irwin Center in Austin, Texas. Sylvester has worked for the Youth of Christ Organization as well as the Full Gospel Businessman's Fellowship International.
Sylvester has performed as opening guest for Danny Danials, the Jason Ingram Band and Among Thorns. He has played with the Messenger's of Jesus Christ who shared the platform with artists such as Yolanda Adams, Isreal and John P. Kee. He also played with former members of Santana and Malo. Sylvester has been a guest on TBN and Gathering Texas a local TV station. For the past 3 years he has directed the music for a church in Austin, TX.
Sylvester is called to Minister. He takes people on a spiritual journey that is intimate, memorable and is a celebration of life to listeners of all ages.
It is Sylvester's passion to be real with people and bring his life's experiences and observations to all who will listen.
