We're all born mad. Some remain so.

About Me

I'm a gypsy who owns far too many pairs of shoes, a writer who can't spell, and a romantic who's forgotten how to love. I have never wished to be anyone other then myself, and believe that flaws make the soul complete. Music is my passion, politics my obsession and philosophy my never-ending well. I want to learn everything and understand how it all works and why. I'm not scientific, but logical and reasonable. I can be happy in my own company, but feel that there must be someone for everyone to share this experience that is life. I want to see, but not be seen, and somehow promote real intellect to future generations. I rarely complain and am generally excepting of human nature. I tend to spend more time considering, and understanding then overanalyzing and criticizing. I relish my independent spirit, my positivity, and sense of humor.

Television:

(The Surreal Life is brilliant, what other show is going to have a midget peeing on a wall? Comedic genius.)

Books:

It's generally more authors then books...Whitman, Emerson, Thoreau, Poe, Nietzsche, Moore, Joyce, and their contemporizes. On Bullshit is great; America, by Jon Stewart and the cast of the Daily Show is hysterical, The Sun Also Rises basically changed my life, and thus Hemingway is a demi-god in my eyes. I’m a big fan of Beckett, Wilde, and Shakespeare (done right).Lady Chatterley’s Lover teaches love, the way anything by Henry James teaches insanity. Fundamentally, Sophocles needs to be understood to have a basic appreciation for most litterateurs, so I go in on the Oedipus tragedies, (“In tragedy, everything is inevitable, hopeless, and known. All are bound to their parts.”).

Heroes:

My mom and my brother's (all 5 of them), my college professors, Gloria Steinem, Jon Stewart, The women of Sex and the City (although not all the time), anyone who cares more about other's then they do themselves, those who have made me laugh, Romantics, & the groovy people in charge of providing me with governmental finical aid.
