Singer/Songwriter/Instrumentalist Jared Greece grew up in Western Pennsylvania, in a home constantly filled with music of all styles. He began his musical training at the age of 6 playing the piano, and by the age of 10 started playing the guitar. By the age of 13 he started his first band with friends from school and has been playing ever since. Jared spent two years playing with Hybrid, a hard rock outfit in which he played guitar and wrote and co-wrote many of the songs for the band. During this time they participated in the Grafitti Rock Challenge in Pittsburgh, PA and put together the Rock for Life Cancer Benefit. Jared left the band to concentrate on his education at the Indiana University Of PA, where he was finishing a degree in Music Education.
In 2005, Jared was introduced to Leslie Bowe, a singer-songwriter from Pittsburgh, then two days later they were opening for Patty Griffin. Since meeting Leslie they have played in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Nashville. You can also catch Jared playing acoustic shows with mentor/friend/guitar guru Bill Duff, and the one and only Tom Murphy on drums/percussion. Jared has also performed with singer-songwriter Geoffrey Thurman in the Nashville area. Also look for another project in the making.
Jared's music explores memories, heartache, and anything that would create a good song.
Jared now resides in Nashville, Tennessee taking in the musical atmosphere of the town.
