no need to be the weatherman if april reminds you of stormy weathers, sudden changes from hard rain up to brightening sunbeams. about april is the musical counterpart of the upcoming summer, arranged in december 2005, delivering constantly high quality.
their post hardcore style combines rough guitars (moritz, woon), precise drumming (dom), almost high-pitched and slippy basslines (nils) with extremely varying vocals from aggressive growls to clear singing (michael). thoughts came up of two vocalists which were negated expeditiously by michael himself, after heard of that.
meanwhile usually the raspy side is dominating with tracks like 'tomorrow' or 'breath', the five guys proove a certain empathy with 'boy', the emotional but yet carefully raging ballad. speedy and gruff 'tomorrow' puts pure pressure on you with its throaty outbreaking vocals and an uptempo rhythm part, and is known as the most popular song so far.
quick changes, versatility, drive, the unpolished sound and blowing a fuse at every single live performance, are the reasons for making about april so bursting with power.
