I was born for this. I hummed melodies before I could utter a word. As I grew I learned to form sentences and my sentences combined with melodies formed songs and these songs combined with my voice formed L2. From humble beginnings I was born in the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Inspired by my father, singing for me started early. First with my ABC's which was followed by the theme songs from my favorite cartoons and television shows from trivia games that my father played with me and my siblings. I can still remember those times.
Standing there on stage, at my fifth grade graduation ceremony with my microphone in hand, alone with one spotlight on me. I opened my mouth, took in a deep breath and released my future, my purpose, and my life through those speakers. I knew at this very moment that this was my purpose in life and everyone watching knew it as well. Their eyes filled with tears as they saw this child sing End Of The Road by Boys II Men. Its experiences like this that followed me throughout my years and what eventually landed me in the new music Mecca where new challenges awaited for me.
Can u picture it? 7:36 a.m, the sun beaming through the window of my Ford Explorer striking my eyes. I awake with my body drenched in sweat, skin sticking to the leather seats. Living out of my car was not how I imagined my life in Atlanta. It was actually the total opposite of what I expected. Traveling here with some friends and family for a music conference I noticed that Atlanta possessed opportunities and accessibility to the music world that weren't afforded in my hometown of Tulsa. It was then that I decided that this was the place where I could transform lucid dreams into definite realities. So I packed up and moved to Atlanta. Two years, 292,000 push ups, 1490 miles ran, 32 songs, 312 hours in the booth, and 1independent deal behind me I stand up boldly and say nothing can stop me. This is my job.
