With all its shams, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.

About Me

Lover of life, love, and music. I'm kind of a bouncer who was born in Denver, moved to Arizona, then to Atlanta, down to Miami, back to Georgia, back to Colorado, and now I'm back in Georgia. Next stop - who knows! The way I see it, there's a lot of world to see, and some great people to meet along the way! I sing in a band or two when I have a free minute, but I'm a single mother (of the most AMAZING person on the planet), so time is a rare comodity. I'm a half-full type of person, and don't have the time or energy for negative people. "With all it's shams, drugery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world." - Desidera

Music:

I'm a HUGE reggae fan - I think it sounds like the rhythm of life, like the way we're supposed to walk. I love old school jazz and blues, and I also love The Dead, The Stones, Dylan, Bonnie Raitt, Neil Young, Marley, Phish, Cheese, Panic, ya know, the basics. I've been playin a lot of Robert Randolph lately, and rockin Spearhead and Johnny Cash. You can't go wrong with the Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies, Big Head Todd, and Merle Haggart, but I'm really trying to find some of the new music that's out like Regina Spektor(who if INCREDIBLE), and some underground stuff - there's so much great music on the planet!

Movies:

Mostly like foreign and independent - Hollywood is typically too predictable, although I loved Crash. Any Cohen Bros. is a fav, particularly Raising Arizona.

Which Classic Art Film Are You?
You are Akira Kurosawa's The Seven Samurai. You do good. You honor and protect those less fortunate and you help those in need. You are highly skilled and very intelligent, though you may get a little egotistical. You like big swords.
Take this quiz !

Television:

I don't have cable (and haven't had it for 6 years), but when I'm at my parents house, I watch football, the Simpsons, Family Guy, adn the History Channel. Oh, and Sex and the City, which I own three seasons of and LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Books:

Any historical novel. I just got done reading My Antonia, and I'm reading The Eagle Has Landed about WWII

Heroes:

My kid. He ain't scared of nothin' or nobody, and I love it.

Sperm doners

Sperm doners need to do the rest of the world a favor and crawl back into the black abyss from whence they came.   It amazes me that after years of non-parenting, and simply occupying t...
