Owned and operated by musicians for music fans, Alligator Alley presents live music nightly by local and national artists performing blues, jazz, rock, punk, funk, Americana, jams and more. Our concert quality PA system is one of the best sounding in the state and there are no TV’s, pool tables or games to distract from the live entertainment. Our food menu includes downhome Southern cuisine like bar-b-que, gumbo, fresh gator and po’ boys while our drink offerings include over 20 micro-brew and imported beers. On our website you can find out about our hours of operation and directions on how to get here. You can take a look at some photos of Alligator Alley, check out our awards and read some of our press clippings . Souvenirs and more are available for purchase at our gift shop and we provide links to other sites of interest on the World Wide Web. Feel free to contact us at any time.
Alligator Alley is owned by "Kilmo" Carl Pacillo, a veteran bassist who toured with Blood, Sweat & Tears, was mentored by the late Jaco Pastorius and was a member of local legends Groove Thangs and his own Kilmo & The Killers. For years he had dreamed of creating the ultimate music club and in 1999 he got the chance when the Seminole Tribe of Florida agreed to back him in such a venture. With the help of talented friends, Kilmo created a classic live music venue and restaurant in Sunrise, Florida, naming it after a nearby highway. Alligator Alley won awards and entertained thousands until its financial backing was withdrawn and the club had to close in 2001.
In 2002, Kilmo hocked his basses and raised enough money to open a place of his own. Resurrecting the old name and logo, he reassembled the original crew and Alligator Alley was reborn.
Smaller in size than the first location, the Oakland Park venue has made no less of an impact. Already a cultural institution, this Alligator Alley not only enjoys the support of the South Florida music-loving community but also the world at large as touring musicians and visiting tourists spread the word about the Alley's great sound, enthusiastic audiences and superb food. Into its third year of existence, Alligator Alley is a must-visit destination for lovers of good live music and great downhome cookin'!
