B Calloway was born on the eastside of Detroit,Michigan. He began to DJ at the age of 16. With influences from Detroit’s own Wizard aka Jeff Mills,the music his older brother's were listen to and other mix show jocks. From there he began producing with bestfriend's Keith and Rodney Harris. Summer of 2000 he hooked up with Ade Mainor of Electrofunk Records who after hearing his demo tape subsequently signed Calloway. After his first recording and now dubbed “B Calloway” he then performed vocals on “Lola Falana” featured on Electrofunk’s Greats hits. B Calloway’s first 12-inch was released under license to Submerges local 3000 imprint. He has since released numerous dance floor smashes on Electrofunk including “Direct Maniac”, as well as his own album, Black Grooves. In 2006 Calloway was released from his contract with Electrofunk and started his own label ( ImagiNation Music )
