Holding to the fire we had, when there was nothing but a spark...

About Me

Music, music, music, music, guitars, beats and words. I love it and it pays the bills. Life is beautiful!
Other interests include reading and writing poetry, and short stories and the consumption of fine coffee, wine, and food... I love cooking, but only if other people will be joining me.
I believe in the kindness of strangers & the laws of grace and love. I think that being proactive shows more strength of character than being reactive... And that being reasonable is waaaaay overrated! Injustice infuriates me. The situation in Africa infuriates me, and breaks my heart. We should all be doing what we can to improved it. I am not doing enough. No body is. History will judge us. So will our grandchildren.
I WANT MORE FIREWORKS IN MY LIFE!
I’m a frustrated nomad! If the funds allowed I would travel all the time. I like to settle into small communities - get to know the people, and hear the stories... The next adventure is slated for 2008. Watch out New York, Miami, Grand Cayman & Jamaica. I'm coming for ya!

COULD THIS BE THE FUNNIEST GUY ON EARTH?..
Lyric of the Month

The Universe And You
(KT Tunstall)
A fire burns
Water comes
You cool me down
When I'm cold inside
You are warm and bright
You know you are so good for me
With your child's eyes
You are more than you seem
You see into space
I see in your face
The places you've been
The things you have learned
They sit with you so beautifully

You know there's no need to hide away
You know I tell the truth
We are just the same
I can feel everything you do
Hear everything you say
Even when you're miles away
Cause I am me, the universe and you

Just like stars burning bright
Making holes in the night
We are building bridges

You know
When you're on your own
I'll send you a sign
Just so you know
I am me, the universe and you

Movies:

Well I love Zach Braff and I LOVED Garden State .. I am shameless in my love for crappy cinema. I love Cameron Crowe. .. I love sappy rom coms. Especially the ones with zombies in. I thought In My Fathers Den was friggin amazing. I've lost count of the amount of times I've seen Reality Bites & Singles (usually back to back.) I also watch Before Sunrise and Before Sunset back to back fairly regularly! .. I love Casablanca. And I don't care if that's cheesy. It's a great film. Walk The Line was stunning. High Fidelity is brilliant. But only coz Nick Hornby wrote it. And Nick Hornby is a genius.

Television:

ALIAS
Boston Legal..
Grey's Anatomy
House
Huff
ER
Scrubs
Hmmm it appears I like hospitals when you put all of them in a row. I have no reasonable explaination for this.I also have no rational or reasonable explaination for my belief that Alan Shore is the hottest fiticious man alive! Even hotter than Jess Mariano and possibly even George O’Malley!

Books:

I loves a top 5 list!
Tales of a female Nomad - Rita Golden Gelman
Man and Boy - Tony Parsons
Is that it? - Bob Geldof
High Fidelity - Nick Hornby
Lake Wobegon Days - Garrison Kiellor
I’m a big fan of Oscar Wilde (noone has been funnier since) and Jane Austin... Nothing wrong with a chuckle from time to time! And I’m addicted to biographies and autobiographies- They can be about anyone - I love real stories.

Heroes:

People who can look at the world with all it's faults, and still spread a little joy, love and humour!
