Certain facets of everything are interesting in a trivial pursuit kind of way, but for the sake of this page and anyone interested.... It's all about jiu jitsu, my friends - aka "the Jits Game". For the challenge, for the rush, for the pride. K.T.I. all the way! Ladies, get with Gracie and learn how to choke 'em out! Check out KTI's page, ya'll. Running is Zen. Long distance trekkin' is one of the few times I can push my body to the limit and just get away from it all. I love jigsaw puzzles, crosswords, Sudoku and adventure games like King's Quest and Kingdom Hearts. (must be an inner Sherlock Holmes thing or something). Thanks to my grandmother I learned to crochet.
My Grandfathers and Tony Stewart
I have an eclectic mood-based music preference which runs the gamut from alternative, pop and metal to country, new age and classical. I don't begrudge anyone their taste in music, but I hate reggae. Most recent concert: Everclear at Pipeline Cafe. Concert wish list: Dave Matthews Band and Sarah McLachlan.
If a film can make me laugh my ass off or reach for a box of Kleenex, then it's good. In practice I avoid thrillers and most suspense films due to an overactive imagination. Some favorites: Spirited Away (in Japanese), Howl's Moving Castle (again, in Japanese), When Harry Met Sally, Dogma, The Truth About Cats & Dogs, Ace Ventura (sadly), Lord of the Rings, 10 Things I Hate About You, Van Wilder, Stepmom, Pirates of the Carribean.
Too many channels, so little substance. But I'll plead guilty to religiously watching The Office.
Call me old fashioned (or a nerd), but books are better than TV. I enjoy anything of the sci-fi, fantasy, romance, historical fiction or classic literature persuasion. Favorite authors: Terry Goodkind, Philippa Gregory, Judith McNaught, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien and Orson Scott Card. Oh, and J.K. Rowling; love Harry Potter!
No heroes, only people I admire unconditonally...my grandmothers, my parents, my sister and my husband.
