Music
Just about all types of music I'm very open minded and just flat out love music. I'm a big fan of rock, punk, Metal, Ska, Reggae, jazz, classical, latin, RnB, Motown, 80's, you name it, anything w/ a sweet groove and a sweet sound....the list goes on & on. Here's a very incomplete list of some artist that I enjoy: Tourniquet, Suicidal Tendencies, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Rancid, Craig's Brother, GNR (Guns N' Roses & Appitite album only), Eric Clapton, Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, Hall and Oates, Al Green, Keith Green, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Incubus, Marvin Gaye, Robert Cray, BB King, James Taylor, Herman's Hermits, The Beatles, Jackson 5, Temptations, Maroon 5, 311, Jack Johnson, Pink Floyd, Tower of Power, Ray Charles, Rolling Stones, Alanis Morrisette, Terry Hanck and many others.
Favorite Composers:
Anything by Tchaikovsky or Dvorak is always a winner. Bach's "St Matthew's Passion" is by far one of my favorite classical pieces even if I'm not a big Bach fan. I'm in love with Claude Debussy's "Claire De Lune" and am a fan of Debussey's work. Frank Wildhorn, and the Alan Menken/Howard Ashman team are by far some of my favorite contemporary composers to date.
Television:
I actually prefer to stay away from television....read a book, doing something outside or just playing some music I find more rewarding but I still find some programs that I like on TV. Let's see: Modern Marvels...actually almost anything on History channel.
Books:
I'm a big fan of the classics Don Quitote, 3 Muskettes, Scarlet Pimpernel, Phantom of the Opera, Tevye (what fiddler on the roof is based on), Of Mice & Men, East of Eden, The Illiad and the Odyssey, Energy does Matter.....ok that's not classic. I do enjoy reading about how things work, so your general engineering/physics/science books apply. There are a fathom of other books to list. Too many to list today. I might add some more later.
Other Books:
I recently read a list of a number of books that are or have been banned. I was surprised by the ones that I've read....all being really good book. The list follows:
