Influences: at an early age railroad tracks and trains plus oil feild pump jacks shot wonderful rhythm into my veins always loving almost all old music my dad listened to anything from marty robbins to burt bacharach also don williams and doug kershaw i loved early early elvis i rember my sis playing jim dandy by black oak arkansas i was hooked she also turned me on to billy preston world go round in circles and an incredible live three dog night album all the while listening to seventies radio t rex stealers wheel bad company golden earring the stones oh! i almost forget draggin the line by tommy james and the shawndells to be completely honest i listened to the bee jees actually i listened to a lot of disco though i never bought any i heard it all so now in the haze of high school a wonderfull thing happened i discovered led zepplin this rerouted everything they put me in a new space. inspired refired and intensly motivated i became imersed in music. listening to zepplin led to black sabbath aerosmith rainbow deep purple tommy bolin montrose early zztop one of the first bands i played with did some van halen and cheaptrick. and yes i still love early cheap trick. if you never have listened to their first do so. its really good. so,anyway i almost forgot about queen i remember seeing them late late at night in early vidieo i thought who in world is this they were dressed all in white. it was very etheral. i thought they were gods from another world! elo was another huge impact. toward the end of high school heavy metal seemed to come out of no where. at the time i loved it. i once saw ratt. isaw rush which was fantastic! so after all of that, for money i started playing in country bands? my heart wasnt in it at all but eventually it grew on me. this was when country was still real. we did merle haggard, johnny cash, box car willie,buck owens,george strait,willie nelson,charlie pride,hank williams ect. ect. all of this took me across the country side to honkey tonks all over illinois and indiana. all of my freinds went to college, i on the other hand schooled in smokey bars and dance halls filled with strange cowgirls and good ole boys. lots of outdoor parties and biker bars. twas a bizzare and wonderful education!
