About Me

I'm 44, but absolutely refuse to act my age! It helps that I don't look my age either. I have 3 addictions...surfing, shopping and Starbucks! I learned to surf about 4 years ago and now it has become my life's passion. Most of my time is spent planning when and how to get wet! Of course, surfing in the Gulf of Mexico, you take what you can get. I ride a 6'10" squashtail, a 7'9" mini-mal (sort of a hybrid short/long board--really fun in small waves), my love is my 7'0" Oxbow thruster...it's a beauty and rides like a dream. I almost look like I know what I'm doing riding that board! And I keep adding to the quiver...just got a 6'4" NSP epoxy...sleek and fast. Now we just need some waves around here!My absolutely precious solid black German Shepherd Tavi just recently passed away at the age of 14. She really was the light of my life! I will miss her...R.I.P. Baby-T!UPDATE: I just bought an absolutely gorgeous solid black German Shepherd puppy! She was born December 26, the day before Tavi passed away, and it just seemed like she was destined to be mine! She's coming from a kennel in Nashville...I can't wait for her to come home!! I'd like to meet others who surf, or want to surf. Although it is a solitary sport, a lot of the fun is in the cameraderie of making the drive to the beach and hanging out all day with your friends.I'm not sure that I'm looking for a relationship (I've been married and also involved in 2 long-term relationships), but if I meet someone and we click, I'm open to seeing where it goes. I'm really just here on myspace to make friends and meet other surfers. I would have to say that any man I get involved with would have to either a) be a surfer, b) become a surfer (I do love surfer boys!) or c) at least understand and indulge my addiction! Most guys are attracted to the whole surfer girl mystique...but they can't handle the reality. I'll bail on ya in a heartbeat if the waves are goin' off!I will usually accept friend requests from other surfers. But not into gathering "friends" just for the sake of numbers.
