About Me

I'm a thirty-something, say no more....oh go on then...
I work as a freelance PR and writer, mainly for motorsport and am very proud of the drivers and teams I work with.
My other love is comedy, I always wanted to pursue comedy writer but was frightened people would laugh at me (sic). So in 2006 I entered the BBC Sketch Factor competition, a talent search for new comedy writers. Having never written a sketch in my life I was shocked but very happy to make the final. Though I didn't make the list of ten winnrs who worked on a new radio sketch show, I was invited to send in uncommissioned pieces and got two items on the show. I have been invited back to write on the second series so am very excited and still a bit daunted!
I love music, especially rock and metal, my three favourite days of the year being the Download Festival . I'll be reporting back for BBCi Derby which just adds to the experience as I randomly talk to people who look interesting! You can see my Download 06 photo essay for BBC Derby here or read my Download 06 review for BBC Derby here .

I'm a volunteer for a cat welfare charity and during the summer months we hand rear orphaned kittens and at other time rehabilitate ill, injured and abused kittens and young cats.
