About Fratthouse...
GB (Harold Moore) and E Money (Eric Daniels) otherwise known as FRATT HOUSE are two of the West Coast's hottest new rappers to appear on the music scene in a long time. Their debut album titled FRATT HOUSE on Lethal Entertainment introduces this third generation of Long Beach rappers to the industry bringing with them all the fun and funk that hip hop lovers have been missing. With talent running through their veins GB (the son of Rap alumni RBX) and E Money (nephew of Rap Royalty Snoop Dogg), the two up-and-coming rappers were destined for greatness in the rap game. It was only a matter of time before the two met as GB sometimes visited a cousin that lived on the same block as E Money. Says GB "There was a local battler (rapper) that hung out around the neighborhood. He took a little interest in us. At the time we were more interested in sports and our studies. Anyway this rapper would always come around with mix tapes and we sort of adapted to it." Says E Money "We were really young and didn't take the rap thing too seriously."But it soon became serious. Citing early influences as Above the Law, Special Ed and NWA, GB and E Money decided they wanted to form their own rap group after finishing high school. And what better opportunity to learn the rap game than to live and hone your skills with industry veterans Snoop Dogg and Tha Dogg Pound. Says GB "They (Snoop, Daz Dillinger and Kurupt) tried to school us about the game, but we wouldn't listen". Says E Money "We thought we knew it all." Their initial experience in the music industry came in the form of their first record deal. Signed to a small label as part of a package deal GB and E Money had a track on the Fakin' The Funk Soundtrack (the film starred Pam Grier and Duane Martin). However while out on tour promoting the album, they were advised that the CEO for the label absconded with the money and left the country. After two more record deals fell through the GB and E Money decided to pool their money and put out an album independently. Remembers E Money "We decided to get smart and not just sit around on our asses. Get out there so people could hear us. We pressed up some CD's, negotiated our own consignment deal with a distributor's and did it on our own." Says GB "We hit the mom and pop stores and the high schools, which helped us build a buzz and start a fan-base. We were even able to score a few gigs."About a year ago, while performing at the prestigious House of Blues in Anaheim California, they duo ran into Tommy Bruno, CEO of Lethal Entertainment and Greedy Gray, Vice President at the label. They had met Bruno a year before and discussed what they wanted to do as a group. After seeing them perform on stage now a full year later, Bruno was well aware of who they were and what they were capable of.The result is their debut album on the Lethal Entertainment label titled FRATT HOUSE. The duo explains that that they're picking up where Tha Dogg Pound left off. When asked about the title and its concept, GB comments "The album concept is the urban version of a frat house. It's definitely not the average frat house that people think about. Our frat house is the spot on the block where people come to party, smoke, drink, hang out and have a good time." Says E Money "The album will put you in the mood to do all that and more."The album which took six months to record is not the same old type of gangsta fare that's been served up from the West Coast in the past. Says GB "We've lived that life but that's not all that we're all about. Me and Money was coming with an old school aggressive flow". E Money joins in "People of all ages are going to like our music. It's tight and the hooks are catchy. We've got mass appeal." In addition says GB laughingly "We're the reincarnation of Daz and Kurupt, maybe a little worse E Money adds "We're picking up the torch and taking it to another level. Keeping It Lethal Baby!"
